Padahastasana is a very good form of yoga exercise which helps you to maintain great fitness. For kids it an advisable way of improving health benefits and gives you the best ways to attain great strength, stability, and flexibility.

Meaning :

Pada means foot and hasta means hands, asana means posture. So padahastasana means a yoga posture involving the hands and the feet.

Technique :

Stand in Tadasana pose with the hands on the hips.
Keep your feet together and hold them at the waist.
Now exhale and bend forward from the place where you have your hips joined.
Do not bend from the waist.
When you come down, the front part of your torso should be away from the groin.
Now come down and keep your knees straight and the hands under the feet.
Now inhale and keep your arms straight and raise the front portion of the torso away from your thighs.
Remain this way and then exhale and bend forward.
Now your elbows should be bent to the side so that they enclose the head.
The shoulder blades should be brought down the back and there should be some space between the shoulders and the ears.
There should be distribution of weight in the feet and your sitting bones should be raised upwards.
The thighs should be turned inwards a little bit.
Every time you inhale, the torso should stretch a little, and each time you exhale, there should be more of a bend.
This makes the torso oscillate thus giving it a good position.
