Riderless motorbike spooks Kolkata car driver at midnight

A car driver in India froze on the road after a motorbike cruised by him without any rider at midnight.
A video taken from a traffic police CCTV camera shows a white car, which is trying to navigate traffic, coming to a halt to let the bike pass.
As the bike crosses the busy junction, it can be seen it is on its own. There is no rider steering it although the front light is on.
The incident occurred in Kolkata on the night of January 16.
The video went viral with many blaming the spooky phenomenon on a ghost rider.
But media reports clarified recently, quoting Kolkata police, that the rider of the bike had been thrown off following an accident.
The two-wheeler had covered some distance on its own momentum before falling off.
