How Gene Simmons Got Into Music at a Young Age

Kiss front man Gene Simmons recently opened up to Us Weekly about his past. He revealed that he wanted to get into music at a young age. The 68-year-old musician said his first concert was a Beatles tribute band that played in a playground in Jackson Heights, Queens in 1964. Simmons was in 7th grade and he said seeing the concert made something click for him. He said, "All the chicks in the audience were going crazy about these guys, but if they step off stage, they wouldn’t be anybody."
