Six dead in shooting rampage in rural Kentucky

A Kentucky man killed himself after allegedly shooting five people, apparently because he was angry at the way his wife cooked his breakfast.

Family members of two of the people killed in the shootings in Jackson, Kentucky say 47-year-old Stanley Neace was screaming at his wife about how he cooked his eggs and then started shooting.

One neighbor who overheard the shouting said another neighbor tried to talk him out of shooting his gun.

"All I heard was, I heard them beg and plead with him saying 'Stanley we can work this out' and he said 'I'll work this out' and boom, boom, boom, everything got real quiet," he said.

When police arrived at the home, they say they found Neace dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on the front porch. A 12-gauge shotgun was found beside him.

The bodies of Neace's wife, his stepdaughter and three witnesses were found shot to death in a neighbor's trailer.
